Management or supervisory personnel have a direct impact and play a significant role in employee motivation in that they employ different motivational techniques to raise productivity levels. It also follows that this has a direct effect on the cooperation levels between the employer and the employee.</p>

Additionally, certain external factors are responsible for driving a person into undertaking a new project or to move in a positive direction. Characteristically, self-motivation is comprised of three factors:</p>

<p> Since an individual cannot rely on others for motivation, self-motivation has to come from within. <p><strong>Communicate Clearly and Get Into the Business</strong></p>

<p>One interesting thing about this business is that the motivated seller actually needs you as much as you need him/her.</p>

<p>You need to recognize this fact and grab the chance and narrow down what&#8217;s the motivation? Because if you know what the motivation is , you can now bring it to a screeching halt and provide a solution to what their needs are. Ask questions like &#8220;Tell me about your property. Let me get your phone number in case we somehow get disconnected so I can call you back or Tell me about your situation, etc.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Know who you are dealing with, ask them if they&#8217;re the sole owner, know the person who makes the decision and things like that. Get their contact number and as much as possible ask for the best contact number you can reach them back at. You need to do this because the number they&#8217;re calling on may not be the best number.</p>

<p>Always leave your phone number. If you get into conversations with sellers then you&#8217;re setting up dates to go back and see them and you&#8217;re having to leave messages to verify appointments or whatever. However, there is a tendency that they might lose it. Do not forget to leave your phone number into every message.</p>

<p><strong>Learn How to Get On and Off the Phone</strong></p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>When you start to market for houses you&#8217;re going to get a ton of call, that&#8217;s irrefutable. By all odds, you will take a lot of calls. One of the key things you need to find out is somebody who&#8217;s motivated. The strategy is to narrow it down as soon as possible to the most motivated person. If you go after the motivated person from the beginning you&#8217;ll get a tremendous chance to succeed.</p>

<p>But you have to take note of this, you will take somewhere around 100 phone calls to get 3 deals. You will filter out 99% of the calls that you get are going to be junk, going to be tire kickers, going to be people who are not motivated. Learn to get on that phone quick, learn to get off the phone quick if there&#8217;s no motivation.</p>

<p>Negotiate with people who are motivated. Know how to get on and off the phone. Would you want to prolong a conversation with someone who is not going to put money in your pocket? You know there are some things you can help with, and some things you can&#8217;t. Learn to know that if it&#8217;s not a deal and will not help you at all, get off the phone.</p>

<p>Just get off the phone. If you did your marketing right to the people who are up here and you matched your message to it you now know that the odds when your phone rings is that you&#8217;ve got somebody who has a very strong potential of having a deal for you.</p>

<p>&#13;</p>
<p>What do we mean by this? The widespread use of the Internet nowadays is quite undeniable, be it for education, for entertainment or for business purposes. And you can use this to your utmost advantage aside from doing your researches online.</p>

<p>Motivated salespeople and entrepreneurs make more sales than their less motivated counterparts. Having a miserable countenance, a poor attitude and a bad physiology never made a good salesperson and it never will.</p>
<p>Your motivation, your mindset and your actions are critical in helping you to achieve your goals and close the sales and build the business that you want. When I am invited to companies one of the most common questions asked by sales managers, sales directors and business owners alike is, &#8220;How do I get and keep my sales teams motivated?&#8221;</p>
<p>Indeed, one of the most common questions asked of me by salespeople themselves is, &#8220;How do I get and keep myself motivated?&#8221;</p>
<p>Most people do not understand how and why they get motivated and therefore their motivation levels tend to ebb and flow like the daily tides. Few people have total control of their own motivation levels. Salespeople know that they need to be motivated to sell, they want to be motivated to sell, but often they just cannot maintain that all important motivation to sell.</p>
<p>Motivation tip 1:</p>
<p>Motivation begins and ends with you. You determine your own motivation. Motivation is internal, it&#8217;s something that you control; even though you may not realise that this is the case. Many people believe that motivation is something that happens to them. For this reason they and their sales results get buffeted severely throughout life.</p>
<p>Sales superstars do not believe or act this way. Sales superstars know that their personal motivation is down to them. No matter what anyone else does or says they get to choose their own motivation levels. No matter whether they get the deal or they lose the deal, they get to choose their own motivation levels. No matter whether life&#8217;s going the way they want or it&#8217;s not, they get to choose their own motivation levels. And it&#8217;s that choice that sets them apart and defines them as the rock stars of sales.</p>
<p>If you want to join the ranks of the sales rock star elite now then you need to take responsibility for your motivation on a day to day, hour to hour, minute to minute and moment to moment basis&#8230;</p>
<p>Step 1 is to decide to do just that. To decide to hold yourself to a higher standard, to decide that nothing short of operating at the optimum level is acceptable for you anymore, to decide that you are a sales rock star.</p>

<p>Are you one of those people that have a difficult time finding the motivation to get things done? One of the biggest misconceptions in life is that motivation will simply fall into your lap and everything will be great! Unfortunately, that&#8217;s not how it plays out in the real world. Success is all about action! Take action now!</p>
<p>Some people wait for something &#8220;big&#8221; to happen and they fool themselves into thinking they will suddenly have this rush of motivation that they need to complete a task or to get through a really tough time. So, of course, when this just doesn&#8217;t happen, people become dejected and just completely give up on whatever they were looking for motivation for in the first place!</p>
<p>This is just not the way to go! Instead of waiting for motivation to magically appear, why not try creating your own motivation? Why? because you can&#8230; and it&#8217;s easier than you might think!</p>
<p>Finding Little Things to Motivate You</p>
<p>The first thing to do is to ensure you have an environment that is conducive to healthy motivation.</p>
<p>What does this mean? Well, it simple terms, it means you need a clutter-free workspace, a computer monitor at a comfortable height and a comfortable chair at your desk. Ergonomics plays a big part in positive energy. If you are not comfortable,these things can zap you of your energy and motivation in a big hurry.</p>
<p>How can you expect yourself to be motivated if you have a sore neck or a sore back all day long? You&#8217;ll be too busy worrying about carpal tunnel or back spasms and you&#8217;ll need to get off task every 5 minutes to adjust your positioning!</p>
<p>Have you actually asked yourself this?: &#8220;How much better would I feel and would my attitude change if I worked in a place that I actually liked to spend time in?&#8221; I know the answer! Think about it &#8211; so do you!</p>
<p>The moment you sort out your work environment and make it comfortable for yourself and content with your needs, you&#8217;ll instantly take action, find the motivation to get started and follow through.</p>
<p>So, how do you identify your motivational factors?</p>
<p>Everyone has different and unique motivational factors. That means what works for your co-workers or friends may not work for you. What you need to do is determine the unique things that excite and motivate you. I treat myself to a regular intake of chocolate! Yummy!&#8230;.lol) after finishing up something that was important! After you have spent all this time achieving whatever it is &#8211; give yourself a pat on the back (and a chocolate bar&#8230;lol!) and reward yourself for a job well done!</p>
<p>I find more motivation by sprinkling mini-rewards throughout my day for each little task I tick off my daily to-do list. Use the KISS system &#8211; keep it simple stupid! you&#8217;ll aleviate yourself of self pressure at the same time, and get heaps more out of the way in a shorter period of time!</p>

<p>Even your computer can be a source of motivational energy. Find a great personal development site and bookmark it! Look at this sites motivational quotes stories or other when you need that extra boost and just might just find the inspiration and motivation you need to soldier on!</p>
<p>Find a free inspiring wallpaper for your computer and download it. There are plenty of motivational images and quotes, so there&#8217;s no shortage of motivation right on your desktop. You can refresh your desktop wallpaper every day, week, or month if you want.</p>
<p>Using the power of motivating imagery is free and requires little time. This method is a prime example of finding motivation in the little things. So go get started and have a productive day!</p>

There are Del Carnegi, Steven Conory, Swet Morden and their books like ‘seven habits of highly effective people.&#8221; They provide a view of life, so one can analyze him and get motivated for new challenges.</p>
<p>On the other hand, there are, Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoyevaskey and Charles Dickens,<br />
they gave the way of thinking and provide thoughtfulness of human capabilities for motivations.</p>
<p>Trainers: &#8211; There are some experts in this field which provides the motivational strength to thoughts. Being face to face with a person is very different experience. On the other, hand everyone some persons whom he believes to be capable and owner of strong will power. Conversation with such person on personal matters can be the motivation.<br />
Breaks: &#8211; When we are tired of our ongoing routines, often mind stops responding and everything seems to be dull and bore. In such case, it is better to go for some vacation and take a break. It gives freshness to the mind and provides great motivational energy.</p>
<p>There are no limitations of sources of motivation. Some sources appeal somebody and some not. Motivation is required for every one. Some times, we find those sources in our hobbies and sometimes in taking time with our families; some spatial friends give us motivation in spending time together.</p>
<p>Self-motivation is a rare but brilliant thing. It needs strong will power to be able to regenerate energy from our own thoughts. Our soul is the biggest source of motivational energy, so being honest with the soul makes you self motivated. Even if you have sources of motivation, self-motivation of our individuality is the most powerful one. No external power can de-motivate a self-motivated person.</p>

<p>When we were kids, we were motivated to do well in games so we would always win. When we were studying, our motivation to study hard was the idea that our parents would reward us. For college graduates, a future job was what motivated us. </p>
<p>Motivation can take us far, we all know that. Losing the motivation to do something is a bad idea . That&#8217;s why for suicidal people, death is the best option because they already lost the motivation to live.</p>
<p>What is motivation anyway? It is that condition that triggers behavior and impels the person to do something. It is that desire that gives the energy and direction for goals. </p>
<p>We need to know more about motivation as it can empower us more. Here are more information on motivation:</p>
<p>1. What is the importance of  motivation?</p>
<p> There are people like motivation theorists who question themselves how influential motivation is on behavior. They still ask themselves if behavior stem from the principles, environmental influences, emotions and personality or if motivation is truly inherent.</p>
<p>Motivation is so important because it increases the response of a person to a certain event. For example, a sudden announcement that the one who can graduate with honors will receive a vacation to Jamaica will urge everyone to study harder. </p>
<p>There was this guy who probably lost the motivation to go on with life. Then one day, he met a girl who instantly motivated him to continue living. That&#8217;s a clear demonstration on the importance of behavior.</p>
<p>2. What is the relationship between motivation and emotion?</p>
<p>Emotion is entirely different from motivation, that&#8217;s one thing you need to know. Motivation can be an emotion, yes, but emotion per se needs not any affixed goal. Emotions come out because they are results to human-to-human and human-to-environment interactions. These two are related as you motivate yourself to change your feelings.</p>
<p>3. What is the source of motivation?</p>
<p>We can categorize the source into two: extrinsic or intrinsic. Intrinsic (meaning, within the person) can be subcategorized into the physical, mental (which has the following: conative, affective and cognitive) and spiritual. Extrinsic means outside of the person.</p>
<p>4. What are the sources of motivational needs? </p>
<p>a. Behavior or external</p>
<p>This source is from a stimulus related to another stimulus. It has the rewards and the not-so-good consequences.</p>
<p>b. Social</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t we all want to belong? This motivational need source means that we need to look for positive models.</p>
<p>c. Biological</p>
<p>It entails the following: sense activation as the senses of touch, smell and taste work themselves out, relieving hunger and thirst and keeping the body&#8217;s homeostasis.</p>
<p>d. Cognitive</p>
<p>This covers personal dreams, self-efficacy maintenance, control of your life, meeting goals and accomplishing plans.</p>
<p>e. Spiritual</p>
<p>This is about understanding your  purpose in life and finding out about faith and the unknown.</p>
<p>5. What are the theories of motivation?</p>
<p>a. Behavioral Motivation Theory</p>
<p>This simply states that behavior is important for motivation.</p>
<p>b. Cognitive Motivation Theory. This states that motivation is equivalent to perceived success probability, success and reward connection and value of goal.</p>
<p>6. How to stay motivated?</p>
<p>Now this is tricky. We always lose step and lose motivation altogether. How to keep it?</p>
<p>a. Take goal setting seriously.</p>
<p>b. Deal with your personal problems head-on. </p>
<p>If it means attending therapy sessions and reading self-help books, do so.</p>
<p>c. Solving the problem yourself.</p>
<p>d. Never lack interest over something you&#8217;ve always been passionate about.</p>
<p>e. Defeat the following self-deprecating behavior patterns like extreme dependence.</p>
<p>f. Never make fear as your motivator.</p>
<p>It will never lead you anywhere. </p>
<p>g. Have fun with your life!</p>
<p>Just being in control with your life and enjoying each moment will motivate you to do the best in every activity you find yourself in. Whether it is as menial as washing the dishes or as important as finishing college, motivation always leads you to the end, to your desired result. You can also be your friend&#8217;s motivator! Pep them up, inspire them and you will see what satisfaction can that bring!</p>

Whether you are trying to achieve something yourself or lead others towards an achievement, the ability to be self-motivated or to motivate is crucial. When we meet people who are regarded as successful or high achievers, it is tempting to assume that they are innately self-driven, or are natural leaders with high levels of motivational ability. This may well be the case, but it is just as likely that they have learned and used some effective techniques for either motivating themselves or to motivate others.&#13;</p>
<p>The benefits of motivation to an individual are fairly obvious – people who are motivated tend to be more successful in achieving their personal and professional goals, which in turn has benefits in terms of their self-esteem and confidence. Given that people are usually the most important asset of any organization, motivation is also a critical factor in the overall success of a team or business.&#13;</p>
<p>Three golden rules of motivation&#13;<br />
Motivation does not take place on its own. In order to be motivated or to motivate others, it is important to remember three golden rules of motivation before considering any specific techniques.&#13;</p>
<p>1 Motivation is impossible without clear achievable goals&#13;<br />
Motivation and goal setting are inextricably linked. Without a goal or purpose, motivation is meaningless, whilst motivation is a vital part of intentionally achieving any goal. Two of the most basic motivators are to know exactly what you are trying to achieve, and to then go out and achieve it. Not having a clear idea of your goal or not believing that a goal is attainable will severely dent your motivation.&#13;</p>
<p>2 Motivation and goals need to be in alignment at every level&#13;<br />
How often have you felt that you have been performing well or doing a good job, only to be told by your manager or colleagues that you have been focusing on the wrong thing, that priorities have changed or that you have simply been underperforming? For example, imagine an experienced sales person who has an excellent track record of retaining business with their established customers, but is heavily criticized by their manager for failing to develop as much new business as their less experienced colleague. As a result, the sales person feels alienated, undervalued and ultimately de-motivated. Their performance and results are likely to suffer. The chances are that there has been a lack of dialogue between the manager and the sales person over how individual goals need to fit with the overall goals of the company. If the emphasis is on generating new business, has this been communicated effectively to each sales person, and in a manner which will motivate each of them to succeed?&#13;</p>
<p>Every business needs motivated employees in order to be successful and achieve its goals. If employee motivation is not closely matched to these business goals, the chances of success are diminished.&#13;</p>
<p>3 Motivation is neither fixed nor infinite&#13;<br />
Motivation is not a one-off event. Something which provides motivation at one particular time may not be as effective in the future, due to changes in environment and circumstances. If someone is driven to become the best in their field, how do they maintain their motivation to perform once they reach the pinnacle of their profession? Even if circumstances remain constant, the most powerful motivational factors will lose impact over the course of time. For instance, you may attend a conference and feel energized by a particular speaker or meeting, and leave the event highly motivated to put what you have heard into action. How long will the impact of what you heard last before you slip back into old ways of doing things?&#13;</p>
<p>Motivation is a constant process and constantly changes. As an individual or as a leader trying to motivate others, it is vital to remember this.</p>
